While mystics and quantum physicists don’t see eye to eye on all that much, there is one thing that they both agree one without any doubt: what we perceive as physical matter — and even what we hear — is energy vibrating at different frequencies; some that we can detect, and most of which that we cannot.
If we accept this premise as true (or at least, interesting enough to explore further!), then it follows that increasing our personal rate of vibration is beneficial, because it means that we get to experience more awareness of what’s really happening in our world, and more intimately, in our thoughts, feelings, interpretations, and relationships with people and events in our lives.
And so, this begs the big question: how can we increase our vibrational energy and reap the rewards of leading richer, fuller, more dynamic, and healthier lives? Fortunately, answering this question does not involve spending decades in a Himalayan cave or dramatically transforming our lives and careers. As such, if you’re a stock broker, then you can become a higher vibration stock broker. Same goes if you’re a truck driver, a music teacher, a cashier, if you sell office lobby signs –– you get the idea. You can elevate from where you are, and see where the trajectory ultimately takes you.
To head upwards and onwards, here are three surprisingly simple and practical ways to boost your vibrational energy right now:
1. Drink more water.
Drinking plenty of fresh (and preferably filtered or distilled) water a day is a fantastic way to boost your vibrational energy, because it helps flush your body of toxins. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume about 13 cups of water a day, and women consume about 9 cups of water a day. However, keep in mind that you get some hydration from what you eat as well. For example, yogurt is about 85 percent water, and so if you enjoy a cup per day then it pretty much counts as a cup of water.
Also keep in mind that caffeine is a diuretic, which means that it promotes water loss (typically though urination). As such, if you’re a big coffee, tea or soda drinker, then you may need to offset the water loss by adding a few more cups of water to your routine. You’ll also need more water if you live or work in humid climates, or if you exercise.
2. Meditate.
Some folks balk at the idea of meditating, because, well, it seems a bit “out there” and “woo woo.” However, the idea here isn’t that you need to purchase an all-white wardrobe and create a shrine in your home. Simply sitting in a chair (or on the floor cross-legged is even better) for 15-20 minutes a day can be profoundly beneficial. Remember that meditation is not the same thing as concentration. The idea isn’t to focus on a thought or visualize something.
The idea — and it’s bit harder than it sounds — is just to “sit quietly doing nothing.” Don’t suppress your thoughts, and don’t follow them either. Imagine that you’re waiting at a bus stop. Each thought is a bus that stops in front you. Keep sitting, keep watching, and keep waiting. After a while, the bus will leave, and be followed by another. Continue waiting. After a while you’ll discover that the gap between buses (i.e. thoughts) takes a bit longer. That is when the magic starts, and your vibrational energy will blast off through the roof!
3. Volunteer your time.
Volunteering your time — even an hour a week is a good start, and you can do it online if you prefer — is an incredible way to boost your vibrational energy, while you make a lasting difference in the lives of an individual or group. Remember, despite our surface differences, we’re all in this together!
