Me, Myself and I

Aloha, I’m Kristi – the fabulous woman who runs this here blog.

I’m a 37-year old wife and mother of 4 children ranging in age from toddler to teens. I was born and raised in Hawaii and have lived in 5 different states, but these days small town Missouri is the place I call home. I’m navigating my way through the triumphs and challenges of motherhood, marriage and life in the country and desperately trying to live and love out loud.

My passions include social networking, breastfeeding, ending child sexual abuse, encouraging, celebrating and empowering women. But above all, I’m obsessed with writing and photography. I discovered my passion for writing and photography during my stint as a dorky teenager in high school. Over the years, I’ve developed a writing style of my own; marrying images that move me along with words that provoke, question and inspire.

Since creating Live and Love Out Loud in January 2010, I’ve been a bit of a busy bee. I’ve written for Southwest Parenting Magazine, served as a regular contributor at Our Mommyhood. And, I’ve guest posted at several fabulous blogs as well.

When I’m not busy writing about motherhood, marriage and photography, you’ll find me surrounded by the people I love; enjoying every single moment of motherhood and marriage – the good, the bad, the ugly and the funny. I’m just living it up, loving out loud and taking a few photos in the process.
