Laughter, Teriyaki and Ducks…Oh My!
Laughter.
Teriyaki.
Ducks.
Oh my!
Just another ordinary day.
Eating out with my four children is always an adventure. Ranging in age from 3-17, these kids keep it lively wherever we go.
Several weeks ago we lunched at Chelan Teriyaki, a little Japanese restaurant in historic downtown Chelan.
The food was great; the company even better. What can I say? These kids sure know how to have a good time.
While we waited on our meal, Lana played with my iPad.
Andre played with his chopsticks.
And Maya busied herself by the window with a toy.
What kind of toy, you ask? Rubber cockroaches, of course.
Yes, rubber cockroaches! Eek! I had no idea she had even brought these along for the ride! Thankfully she put them away when our food arrived and the other patrons were none the wiser.
The veggie egg rolls were delicious.
The orange chicken had a little bit of a bite.
And the yakisoba was yummy as well.
We laughed.
We filled our bellies.
We cleared our plates.
We waited patiently for the check.
We looked out the window in time to see a group of ducks walking by.
Ducks.
In town.
Just walking around.
You know, just like any other ordinary day.
We love it here at Lake Chelan. We’re certainly having a blast – delicious food, laughter, ducks and all!
Oh, and rubber cockroaches.
Of course.

It looks like a bunch of fun! And very yummy!
