The Heartbeat of Charlotte’s Urban Jungle
Each and every city across the U.S. has its own vibe, the heartbeat of the urban jungle – its people.
One of the things I love most about traveling to new cities is hitting the streets with my camera and experiencing it in an organic way – taking in the sights, meeting new people and discovering hidden gems.
Charlotte, North Carolina is vibrant and colorful; so full of life.
It was my pleasure to photograph Uptown Charlotte with my friend, Amanda of Parenting by Dummies.
Amanda is sassy, sweet and a whole lot of fun. She’s also an expert photo bomber as well.
Charlotte may be the second largest financial center in the U.S., but I’ll forever remember it as a friendly city and feast for the eyes.
Streets teeming with fruit stands,
bicycles,
friendly motorists,
and beautiful pedestrians with killer smiles.
The People Of Charlotte were friendly and willing to be photographed; throwing up signs and flashing behinds.
Young,
old – it really didn’t matter.
The men of Charlotte love being in front of the camera!
Piercing eyes,
warm smiles
and rad hairstyles.
Each and every person photographed, complex and unique with their own life story to tell.
There’s no doubt about it, the people of Charlotte are the heartbeat of this vibrant and colorful city. I certainly hope to return again someday.
I’m all about photographing people I meet during my travels. What do you enjoy photographing when traveling to new cities?

Ok, I want to do a photo walk!!! I love it that you got to do one with Amanda! I’m going to have to round up a few of my fellow photographers here in Atlanta and go for it!
