Green/Journey {Nurture Photography - Fall} - Live and Love...Out Loud

Green/Journey {Nurture Photography – Fall}

If there’s one thing my introverted soul craves, it’s moments of peace and solitude.

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

Going on photo walks in the woods near my home in the Mark Twain National Forest affords me the silence that I long for.

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

As I make my way deeper into the woods, a sense of calm washes over me.

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

The stress, worry,

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

expectations and pressure begin to melt away.

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

In its place, only beauty remains.

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

Reflecting upon Your Own Personal Photography Journey

Mark Twain National Forest Photos,

Much like our lives, this photography journey we’re on is filled with challenges and triumphs. Mastering the fundamentals of photography – light, exposure, composition – takes time and practice. The more we click, the more we push ourselves, the deeper our love of photography grows and with it, a deeper understanding as to how it all plays together.

As you continue along your photography journey, I urge you to push through the frustration.

Break rules.

Keep clicking.

Develop your own personal style.

Compare your work to none other than your own.

Reflect upon your personal photography journey by looking through the photos you captured last year. Celebrate the areas of growth and use it as a source of encouragement when you feel discouraged.

Click.

Reflect.

Never stop learning.

photography challenge, photography challenges, online photo contest, photography tips,

I’m teaming up with Rebecca of Bumbles and Light to bring you the Nurture Photography Autumn Challenge – a photography challenge aimed at capturing the beauty of fall.

Not experiencing autumn in your part of the world? No problem. All are invited regardless of geographic location.

Two prompts to choose from each week! Share your favorite images inspired by one of our weekly prompts. Or both. It’s totally up to you.

The linky will remain open from 9am Friday – 9am Thursday CST. Link to your Nurture Photography blog post or Flickr photo, not your blog’s home page or Flickr photostream. Don’t forget to visit and comment on the previous entry in the linky list.

We’ll be showcasing some of your lovely photos by pinning some of our favorites to the Nurture Photography Inspiration Board.

We love Instagram just as much as you do! We’ll be on the lookout for your beautiful fall photos, so be sure to use the #nurturephoto hashtag to receive a little bit of Instagram love.

Last, but not least, don’t forget to grab our lovely button!

Beautiful sentiments and lovely shots. Really like the last one. I’m always drawn to abandoned countryside buildings.

Thanks, Veronica! I’m in love with old abandoned schoolhouses, farms and churches. We should go on a photo walk together sometime. ;)

Right?!? I love escaping, getting away with my camera for quiet time. It’s so nice to just be alone, indulge in something I’m passionate about and it’s so creatively inspiring too. :)

Beautiful words and photos! Love the tiny hints of color among all the green. I love what you said as well, about celebrating areas of growth. I was just browsing through some of my posts and photos I took last year and it truly is a great boost! Thank you for hosting! So excited to be a part!

Every time I see your outdoor shots I wonder how close you are to my husband’s boyhood home. He grew up in Perryville. I know he has taken me to Mark Twain Nat’l Forrest more than once. Gives looking at your beautiful images a special fun twist for me.

What peaceful and amazing pictures. That is one thing I miss about where I use to live growing up. Across from my house there is this HUGE park that I use to wander about as a kid. Little did I know how much I would miss it now that I have grown this love of photography. I think I just might have to go back being my mom still lives in the same place I grew up. Thanks for the inspiration I did capture some fun around my neighborhood so I thank you for the inspiration.
