Green/Journey {Nurture Photography – Fall}
If there’s one thing my introverted soul craves, it’s moments of peace and solitude.
Going on photo walks in the woods near my home in the Mark Twain National Forest affords me the silence that I long for.
As I make my way deeper into the woods, a sense of calm washes over me.
The stress, worry,
expectations and pressure begin to melt away.
In its place, only beauty remains.
Reflecting upon Your Own Personal Photography Journey
Much like our lives, this photography journey we’re on is filled with challenges and triumphs. Mastering the fundamentals of photography – light, exposure, composition – takes time and practice. The more we click, the more we push ourselves, the deeper our love of photography grows and with it, a deeper understanding as to how it all plays together.
As you continue along your photography journey, I urge you to push through the frustration.
Break rules.
Keep clicking.
Develop your own personal style.
Compare your work to none other than your own.
Reflect upon your personal photography journey by looking through the photos you captured last year. Celebrate the areas of growth and use it as a source of encouragement when you feel discouraged.
Click.
Reflect.
Never stop learning.
I’m teaming up with Rebecca of Bumbles and Light to bring you the Nurture Photography Autumn Challenge – a photography challenge aimed at capturing the beauty of fall.
Not experiencing autumn in your part of the world? No problem. All are invited regardless of geographic location.
Two prompts to choose from each week! Share your favorite images inspired by one of our weekly prompts. Or both. It’s totally up to you.
The linky will remain open from 9am Friday – 9am Thursday CST. Link to your Nurture Photography blog post or Flickr photo, not your blog’s home page or Flickr photostream. Don’t forget to visit and comment on the previous entry in the linky list.
We’ll be showcasing some of your lovely photos by pinning some of our favorites to the Nurture Photography Inspiration Board.
We love Instagram just as much as you do! We’ll be on the lookout for your beautiful fall photos, so be sure to use the #nurturephoto hashtag to receive a little bit of Instagram love.
Last, but not least, don’t forget to grab our lovely button!
Next week’s prompt will be Yellow/Light. For a complete list of prompts, head on over to the Nurture Photography page.

Beautiful sentiments and lovely shots. Really like the last one. I’m always drawn to abandoned countryside buildings.
