Leap Into Spring Photo Challenge: Blossoms/Trees
Winter is nothing but a distant memory here in small town Missouri. Snow covered plains and barren trees are a thing of the past.
We’re knee-deep in spring and I couldn’t be more excited! Earth’s promise of new life has finally been fulfilled.
Everywhere I look, I see signs of spring.
Tiny buds,
Beautiful blossoms,
Velvety little leaves adorning what were once bare branches,
Tiny little jewels enticing tiny little hands,
And sweet nectar-filled flowers attracting the prettiest little beauties.
Spring is a feast for the eyes!
Delicate petals,
Delicious textures,
Whimsical little blooms,
And the seductive dance of the iris as it slowly unfurls in the warmth of the sun.
Spring is in full bloom and I just love capturing its beauty through photography.
One of the most important techniques to consider when shooting is perspective. In the photos below, you’ll notice that the two unique perspectives have a different effect on your perception of the same branch of wisteria.
This week my talented co-host and friend, Rebecca of Bumbles & Light, is sharing a few photography tips on the art of perception through the use of creative perspectives. She has an amazing eye, thinks outside of the box, sees our world in a unique and unexpected way and somehow manages to translate it into a lovely photograph…through the use of creative perspectives. Stop by, say hi and enjoy the wealth of knowledge that Rebecca is sharing this week.
We’re sharing photography tips each and every week in Leap Into Spring! Photo Challenge. In case you missed it, I shared a few tips on composition last week and my sweet and talented friend and co-host, Alicia of Project Alicia, shared a few tips on shooting during the golden hours the week before.
I’m teaming up with Rebecca of Alicia of Project Alicia and Bumbles and Light to bring you the Leap Into Spring! Photo Challenge – a 6-week photography challenge aimed at capturing the beauty of spring.
Just a few details:
Not experiencing spring in your part of the world? No problem. All are invited regardless of geographic location.
Two prompts to choose from each week! Share your favorite images inspired by one of our weekly prompts. Or both. It’s totally up to you.
The linky will remain open from 9am Friday – 9am Thursday CST. Leap Into Spring! blog post or Flickr photo, not your blog’s home page or Flickr photostream. Feel free to share your photos in our Leap Into Spring! Flickr Group as well.
We’ll be showcasing some of your lovely photos by pinning our favorite submissions to our Leap Into Spring! Pinterest Board each week.
We love Instagram just as much as you do! We’ll be on the lookout for your lovely spring photos, so be sure to use the #leapintospring hashtag.
Last, but not least, don’t forget to grab our lovely button!

Next week’s prompt will be Rain/Water. For a complete list of upcoming prompts, head on over to the Leap Into Spring! Photo Challenge page.
