I Found a Lump in My Breast. Again.

I found a lump in my breast.

Again.

I was 19-years old when I found the last lump. I was young, single and scared.

A biopsy was performed. No fluid, just cells.

Atypical cells that carried a slightly higher risk of becoming cancerous in the future.

So the lump was removed and all was right in the world again.

Until I found another lump.

I’m not going to lie. I’m sick-to-my-stomach scared. Things are different this time around.

I am 37-years old.

I am a wife.

I am a mother of four children.

And there are people in my life who need me.

I’m sure that there are people in your life who need you as well. If you aren’t already performing monthly breast self-exams, now is a good time to start.

So scary, but I’m sure all will be well! The most important thing is to take care of these things ASAP! My sister had breast cancer recently, and they caught it so early they just did a lump-ectomy and some radiation and she was good to go! I’m sure you’ll be good too! :) Fingers crossed for you!

(on a wacky , and somewhat funny note, I’m a paranoid person and feel my boobs for lumps all the time. I’m really scared I’ll miss one. I know it sounds silly but what does a lump feel like?)

It might be real scary but with the technology we have nowadays there is a great chance that you can make it just like you had before and with any other cancer survivors. I know and completely feels how it was to be afraid on losing our lives not for our own sake but for those people who need us most. But things might be turn out to be the opposite and instead of crying and feeling worthless let’s just take this extra ordinary moments to be our strength and fight cancer.

Wow, it must have been terrifying to find that lump, especially after already having a scare earlier in your life. We had a close family friend die from breast cancer when I was younger, so I can understand a bit of what you and your family are going through. You’re lucky you have such a loving family to support you. I’m glad to hear you’re staying strong and positive, we are all praying for your continued health.
