Mini Spa Day and a Birthday {Wordless/Wordful Wednesday}

November 29, 2011

in Wordless Wednesday

I had a mini spa day with my older girls the other day.

We had facials and painted our nails. Nothing out-of-this-world exciting, but we had a ton of fun just hanging out. My son refused to take part in the nail painting and girly facials so he took our photo instead. He did a great job!

My 8-year old daughter, Amaya, did a pretty good job of painting her own nails.

She loves red nail polish just as much as I do!

My 2-year old daughter, Lana, even got in on the fun when her older sister painted her toe nails.

She’s partial to pink. What a girly-girl!

Speaking of girly-girls…

My niece, Star, is a beast on the football field.

My niece, Star

But girly at heart.

She’s sweet, silly, animated, beautiful and kind. And today just happens to be her birthday.

Happy birthday, Star! I love and miss you so much.

I have one girly girl with whom I can do all of the fun spa day things and another girl who shares my sense of humor and love of basketball. It’s the best of both worlds!

Trust me, I was freaking out about the nail polish too. She was being so careful though and got teary eyed when I suggested that she move into the bathroom to paint her nails on the tile floor instead. :( Thankfully, we did not have a nail polish accident. lol

How fun!!! You and your girls are so gorgeous! Your beauty shines through the mud mask!

You gave much a great idea for my advent calendar this year! My girls LOVE girlie days of painting toes and all that glitters. I think I’ll add a homemade Christmas spa day into the mix of Christmas activities. We’ll do a seaweed mud mask for green and paint our toes red and maybe add some glitter to our hair and some makeup too. :-) My girls would LOVE that! Thanks for the idea, mama!

I snapped some really great shots at a farm the other day and wanted to share them for your autumn challenge, but I’m not sure I will have time to post them and link up, but I will try! There were some good ones, which were inspired by your beautiful horse and barn shots, of course. ;-)

I just read this comment through. Sorry if I sound like such a suck-up. lol ;-) I mean every word though! xox <—Me kissing up some more.
