Purple {Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge}
I’ve spent the past few weekends out and about; travelling along the back roads of small town Missouri in search of purple inspiration. Would you believe that I was totally unsuccessful in my search for purple over the past three consecutive weeks?
Well, I was.
Unsuccessful, that is.
Luckily, I had the foresight to photograph a few of the wildflowers I had growing in my front yard a month ago. They’ve since withered and died, but they certainly were a sight to behold – breathtakingly beautiful shades of purple.
Bright, bold, look-at-me-now purple.
Sweet, innocent, I-could-do-no-wrong purple.
And fun, flirty, don’t-you-think-I’m-pretty purple.
So many gorgeous shades of purple found right in my own front yard!
And around my home as well…
A delicate family heirloom crocheted by my wonderful mother-in-law.
Another family heirloom; this one, crocheted by my sweet aunt. Of course yours truly is cuddling in bed with it. (Be kind. Believe it or not, I’m a little self-conscious when it comes to sharing photos of myself. I still feel like a dorky, flat-chested, pimple faced teenager at times.)
And sweet little Converses belonging to the littlest of our bunch.
