Crazy Days of Summer Week Five: Light
Small town living sure is sweet, especially if you’re lucky enough to live in the Mark Twain National Forest.
Here, warm summer days are spent outdoors; playing, picking wildflowers and laying in the shade of one of our many trees.

During the summer months the forest is aglow. Light filters in through the trees, tiny patches of golden sunlight peeking through and out in the open fields, wildflowers stand erect; basking in the light of the sun.
And at the end of the day when the sun begins to set, something magical happens. All is quiet as amber light spills forth, revealing heaven’s gates.

Life here in small town Missouri sure is sweet.
