Welcome to Small Town Missouri (Wordless/Wordful Wednesday)

Welcome to small town Missouri

Where pastures are green…

small town missouri, plato missouri, rural photos, life in a small rural town, green pasture,

Barbed-wire fences line gravel roads…

small town missouri, plato missouri, rural photos, life in a small rural town, barbed wire fence, gravel road,

Horses are every girl’s dream…

small town missouri, plato missouri, rural photos, life in a small rural town, horse,

And where “over the river and through the woods” is more than just a cheesy song lyric.

small town missouri, plato missouri, rural photos, life in a small rural town, river running through road,

I miss the blatant, in-your-face beauty of the beaches on my island home of Oahu, but I’ve found that there’s so much beauty just waiting to be discovered right here in small town Missouri.

…………………….

rainbow pancakes, recipes, fun recipes for kids, breakfast for kids,

And just in case you missed it…

I’m throwing out the negative and focusing on the positive by celebrating the smile-worthy moments in my life with Project Smile. It’s not too late to get in on the fun.

Tired of your oh-so-ordinary breakfast? Ditch the cereal and make breakfast time fun with my super yummy, super pretty rainbow pancakes. Your kids will love them!

Thanks for stopping by and linking up at Live and Love Out Loud. If you’re looking for even more fabulous people to link up with, head on over to the following blogs and link up with them as well. I do. Every.single.week.

What beautiful images!!
Did you run an action over them? Or texture? LOVE!!

KristiTwitter: TweetingMama (4351 comments)

Thanks! I used actions from My 4 Hens and textures from Kim Klassen. Sorry, I wish I remembered which ones I used. I’m afraid I’ve been in photo editing purgatory for the last 2 weeks and I can’t see straight.

It sure does have beauty of its own! Awesome pics! I had a horse almost identical to that when I was little. Sugar was her name. I haven’t really thought about her in awhile. Loved her. Thanks for the memories!

Yes, we moved here to *super* small town Missouri this past summer. The population sign outside the town reads “74″. lol It’s quiet, wide-open and such a safe neighborhood to live in. We love it, but it’s a bit of a pain when we have to go grocery shopping. The property in the photos aren’t ours though. It’s a little further down the road from our home.

I’d kill to live in a town like this but it would have to have a beach on the end of it. I feel so land-locked otherwise.

I had rainbow french toast at my first ever sleepover party as a little girl. It made me gag. I psyched myself out for sure! The pancakes are so darn pretty!
