Not Me! Monday – Puking and Pooping are Uber Sexy

Monday, May 31st, 2010

I had every intention to prepare this post last night, but as you’ll soon find out things don’t always go as planned. Oh and “you’re welcome” in advance. Let get this started…

I did NOT cut my blogging short last night after becoming violently ill. Nothing can stop me from participating in Not Me! Monday. Except vomiting. And diarrhea.

I did NOT lay my pretty little head on the supposedly clean bathroom floor between intermittent expulsions of bodily fluids. I’m one tough cookie.

It was NOT the most dreadful two hours of my life. I love puking and pooping. It makes me feel uber sexy.

I did NOT retreat to my bedroom two hours later only to be torn from a peaceful slumber thanks to a massive migraine. (The hits just keep on coming, don’t they?)

I did NOT sleep in until noon today thanks to a possible bout of food poisoning, a migraine and my understanding husband.

I am NOT surprised that I made it through the night without a trip to the hospital. Battling food poisoning in the emergency room once before was an awesome experience. I’d love to give it another go.

And finally, I would NEVER think of blogging about the wonderful world of vomit and diarrhea. I’m above that.

A Computer Idiot’s Tutorial: Make Your Very Own Super Silly Caricature

Make Your Very Own Super Silly Caricature

Looking to add a bit of fun to your blog posts? Use a super silly caricature like this one…

girl fights, little girls fighting, sisters fight

I’ll show you how. The computer idiot’s way, of course. Because that’s what I am. A computer idiot. Here we go.

First off, you’ll need to utilize the Paint application on your computer, a photo or two (forward facing face shots work best), an Internet connection and a little bit of creativity.

1. Find a photo or two that you’d like to use in your caricature. Create a fun drawing of your own in Paint and save to your computer as a JPG file.

2. Go to faceinhole.com, click on “make your own scenario” and “upload” your drawing.

3. Using the guides, outline the area in which you’d like to create a hole. (If you’d like to create additional holes, click “add a hole” and repeat step 3.) Click the right arrow to “save“.

4. “Upload” a photo to be inserted into the hole you created in your drawing.

5. Position your subject’s face within the hole using your mouse. You can also use the editing controls on the blue task bar to flip, tilt or adjust the color settings on your photo.

(If you’re using more than one photo like I did, click on the right arrow to add a photo to the “next” hole and repeat step 5.) After achieving the desired effect, click on the right arrow to ”save“.

6. Finally, you’ll be given the option to email your caricature or post it to your blog, Twitter or Facebook profile. I prefer to right-click the photo and click “save as” to store my caricature directly to my computer.

Take your caricatures even further. Use websites like Picnik.com to kick it up a notch. With all the amazing programs out there, the possibilities are endless!

Have fun creating your super silly caricatures. The computer idiot’s way, of course. Because that’s what I am. A computer idiot.

*I’d love to see your super silly caricatures! Leave a link to your blog post in a comment and I’ll be sure to stop by and check it out.

All hell is breaking loose in the Live and Love…Out Loud household.

These kids have lost their minds!

Our girls are arguing and can’t seem to get along.

As for our teenage son…well he’s copping a little bit of an major attitude.

moody teen, teens with attitude,

But this little cutie? Well, she’s the only one not sporting an attitude today.

In fact, she’s having a blast playing with her beautiful blocks from Three Ladybugz. These adorable blocks are tons of fun and custom made to order by my good friend Jen. Jen’s super talented and sweet. Stop by her Etsy shop and take a look at some of her great personalized, hand made items.

Curious George Deserves a Time Out!

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Note to self: Never leave a monkey unattended for any length of time.

Curious George has done some naughty things in the past, like the time he snuck and drank alcohol on the beach. But this? This is beyond naughty.

No one -and I mean no one- touches my panty liners. This naughty little metrosexual monkey deserves a major time out. He better wipe that smirk off his face if he knows what’s good for him!

Disclaimer: No monkeys were hurt during the photo shoot, though the same can’t be said for the pack of pantyliners I wasted.

Wordless Wednesday – Creepy Crawlies and Fuzzy Wuzzy Bunny

Take A Step Outside

You never know what you’ll find! We found this huge nest in one of our trees the other day. If anyone can tell me what type of caterpillars (or possibly silk worms) these are, I’d love to know! Just don’t expect me to go near them.

I’m throwing a fuzzy little bunny in for good measure. I don’t know about you but those creepy crawly caterpillars (or whatever they are) are freaking me out. Big time.
